Honda Mobilio MPV (codenamed 2NH) is a seven seater MPV based on Honda Brio vehicle. It was unveiled at 21st Indonesia International Motor Show in September. The Brio platform is one of Honda’s major developments for the Asian markets. The platform currently underpins the Brio hatchback and the Amaze sedan and Mobilio MPV would be third model.
It is known from Sources around the web that the Mobilio MPV would make its Indian debut at 2014 Indian Auto Expo in February 2014.
The Mobilio is expected to available with two engine options- a 1.5-litre petrol i-VTEC and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC. The petrol engine will produce power somewhere close to 120bhp, while the diesel might get bump up from Amaze
Mobilio will take on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Chevrolet Enjoy. After seeing the huge success of Honda Amaze, the company would now like to dethrone Maruti Ertiga with competitive pricing, so expect the starting price of around 6.5 Lakh for petrol base variant.
