Nissan has announced that it will sell cars online in India. Don’t rush to book yours yet because at the time of writing this report, the Nissan website had not been updated with the online payment gateway.
Presently, Nissan India has on offer 8 cars from its product line up ranging from a couple of small hatchbacks to a 328 bhp touring coupe. Once the payment gateway goes online, customers will be able to book their cars by making payments by credit card. The car will then be delivered to the customer by their nearest Nissan dealership when ready
Mr. Nitish Tipnis, Director – Marketing, Hover Automotive India who are Nissan’s National Sales Company, is positive that this extension of purchase model will offer the convenience of online booking coupled with attractive deals and will accommodate the change in buying pattern
Nissan currently retails the hatchback Micra, mid size sedan Sunny, MPV Evalia, compact SUV Terrano, the luxury sedan Teana and the SUV X-Trail and the sports car 370Z in India, with the range starting at Rs. 4.9 lakhs to Rs. 56 lakhs (ex-showroom). The online sales will be handled by Nissan’s sales partners Hover Automotive, who manage the sales and dealers for Nissan pan India.
