The Datsun brand dates back to the earliest days of Japanese car building. Datsun evolved to become an automaker recognized as Durable, Attractive and Trustworthy. More than 20 million Datsun vehicles were sold in 190 countries during its more than 50-year run.
The Datsun brand was re-launched by Nissan in July this year. Datsun is known for offering value to its customers. As part of the re-launch program, Datsun has revealed the GO hatchback earlier this year in India. The GO+ is an MPV which is based on the GO platform. The GO+ shares its design language and components with the hatchback version. The GO hatchback will be launched in India early next year followed by the GO+ MPV later. Nissan dealerships are going to sell Datsun cars in India. The GO+ MPV will be first sold on Indonesian soil where MPVs have huge demand
The GO+ will be the first Datsun car to be launched in Indonesia and is highly anticipated to give stiff competition to the Suzuki Ertiga, Honda Mobilio, Toyota Avanza, etc. The Datsun GO+ is a sub 4-metre MPV which has been designed specifically for markets like Indonesia and also other emerging markets like India.
Datsun’s 5+2 seater GO+ MPV now has its details and technical specifications unveiled. The data has been made available on Datsun Indonesia’s social media pages
According to the revealed data Go+ MPV 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine will produce 68 PS and 104 Nm of torque, and will be paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Go hatchback would very likely have the same specifications as well.
The Go+ will be available in 5 colors – Reddish Gold, White Solid, Silver Metallic, Grey Metallic and Black Solid.
In India, we expect a price tag of very much around the Rs 7 Lakh mark that will take on the Toyota Innova, Maruti Ertiga and Mahindra Xylo in the MUV segment.
